Leadership Wisconsin is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. As outlined by our Bylaws and Policies, the Board of Directors is responsible for conducting the organization’s finances and program operations in accordance with our Mission, Vision and Core Values. In addition, the Board of Directors is responsible for setting organizational direction and priorities which are incorporated into the Leadership Wisconsin Strategic Plan.

FY 2018 Standing Committees
Executive Committee: charged with reviewing board candidate slates, managing communications and negotiations with partner organizations, preparing an annual budget and review of investments, managing legal and other professional consultations, collecting and filing required board documentation, and serve as personnel committee.
Board Development Committee: charged with maintaining a robust leadership pipeline that represents the varying constituencies served by Leadership Wisconsin, develops plans for new Board member orientation and ongoing training for all Board Members, and is responsible for maintaining best practices for Board operations and for non-profit organizational governance.
Communications Committee: charged with developing and executing a communications strategy that supports Leadership Wisconsin’s established goals and strategies.
Development & Fundraising Committee: charged with developing and executing a development and fundraising strategy that supports Leadership Wisconsin’s established goals and long-term vision.
Program Committee: charged with serving as the communications link between Leadership Wisconsin and its programming partners; and discusses and develops strategy for programming that is in alignment with established agreements.
Advisory Committee: charged with maintaining the connection between Leadership Wisconsin’s Board and the organization’s alumni, partners, stakeholders and community members.
