Fellows gain new perspectives on major issues facing another country by meeting with a variety of community and national leaders to better understand the similarities and differences between people of different cultures and systems. Fellows gain a better appreciation of the difficulties and possibilities of solving societal problems in different resource situations. Past groups have traveled to Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Hungary, Jamaica, Mexico, Russia, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, Vietnam, and West Germany.
