Maggie Fitzsimmons is a graduate of UW-Madison, where she received a B.A. in Geography with a concentration in human-environment interaction and a Certificate in Environmental Studies.  Maggie was raised in Albany, Wis., surrounded by rolling hills and dairy farms. She has always been passionate about supporting farmers and families in Wisconsin. Her past work experiences include co-managing Troy Community Farm, an organic, community-supported vegetable farm in Madison, Wis., and coordinating the family services program at Habitat for Humanity of Dane County.

Maggie currently spends most of her time working with the Dairy Business Innovation Center to independently manage a variety of their client programs and projects with the goal of growing specialty, farmstead and artisan dairy processing businesses in the state.  She also works directly with other small Wisconsin farmers to support sustainable growth of their businesses and to promote local foods.
