As the University Benefits Specialist at UW-Stevens Point, Julie Hayes is responsible for administering the insurance plans, FMLA and COBRA for approximately 1200 employees.  She also facilitates participation in the 457/403b plans and counsels associates who are getting ready to transition into retirement.  

Julie was raised in Fond du Lac, WI.  She earned a B.S. degree in 1997 from the University of Minnesota-Mankato and then spent a decade in the Twin Cities working at several corporations in various Human Resources positions.  She moved to Stevens Point, WI in 2006 where she became involved with the Portage County Health Literacy Coalition, League of Women Voters and Zonta service club.
