Howard (AV) Roth

AV Roth owns Roth Feeder Pig, Inc., a 3,000 head farrow (birth) to wean swine operation in Wauzeka, Wis. He also grows corn and hay on 200 acres. The farm has been in AV’s family for five generations. He assumed ownership in 2002.

AV has been a member of the Wisconsin Pork Association since he was young boy. He has been a member of the Wisconsin Farm Bureau since 2005 and currently chairs the Wauzeka Township Smart Growth Committee – a part of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Smart Growth Network whose aim is to encourage development that serves the local economy, community and environment.

AV attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville from 1994 to 1998 where he majored in agriculture business. He also has been taking farming classes at Southwest Wisconsin Technology College in Fennimore since 2002.
