As the assistant superintendent of the Oconto Falls School District, Candie Lehto is responsible a wide variety of activities. Some of these include: Summer school, curriculum development and implementation, assessment (state and local), and personnel. She is the secretary of the Wisconsin Community Education Association state board and serves on the Community Memorial Hospital Foundation Board. She is also an involved with the FFA organization at the local level and has judged various contests at the state and national levels.
Candie grew up in Grafton, Wisconsin and attended UWWhitewater and Milwaukee for her BA and Masters in Education degrees and specialist certificate. She has been in the field of education since 1971 teaching at various grade levels, as the Director of Instruction in Rosholt, Wisconsin and as the Assistant Superintendent in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. Every year has been the best year and she has enjoyed every success and challenge public education offers.
