Seminar Objectives

Participants will:

• Understand the impact of global economy on the economies of local communities;
• Gain insights into the global economy and international trade – terms, current situation, players;
• Explore what a global economy means for the U.S. and for Wisconsin in particular;
• Be exposed to Wisconsin companies conducting international trade;
• Examine some of the leadership and ethical issues involved in a global economy;
• Explore the power of organizations that represent people and those that represent money; and
• Explore the macroeconomic change that brings about social change.
