How do you define leadership?  Inspiring those around you to believe in themselves and work together toward the greater good.

What’s the most valuable leadership lesson you’ve learned?  Most valuable lesson I’ve learned is to think or see where others are coming from – their motivation – and if you can understand that then it’s easier to have a dialog with them

How has Leadership Wisconsin/WRLP impacted your life?  It continued to encourage me to work within the ag arena and it was a springboard for me to represent rural residents in other arenas.  For example, I’m on the board for our local hospital.  I have reached out and touched more people because of that.

How did your experience with Leadership Wisconsin/WRLP benefit your business?  I try to influence my partners by giving a 30,000-foot view of the world and then suggest how our business fits within it.

What was your most valuable WRLP/Leadership Wisconsin leadership experience?  The national and international trips.  Went to China and California.  Studied hispanic issues in California and we now have hispanics on our workforce.  Internationally, I just came back from second trip to China.  WRLP encouraged me to keep listening and learning from other cultures and to continue to travel internationally.

Your greatest achievement so far?  Raising my family, who are very supportive of all that I do. Basically, I love what I do every day.
